Vehicle Location Troubleshooting
In order to use the Vehicle Location feature in the app, you must:
- Have the FordPass Connect modem equipped on your vehicle.
- Add your vehicle to FordPass™.
- Activate your modem.
If your Vehicle Location has stopped working:
- Log out of the app and then back in.
- Check if your vehicle location appears successfully.
- If not delete the app and reinstall it.
- Check if your vehicle location appears successfully.
If your Vehicle Location will not update:
- Navigate to the Vehicle tab.
- Tap Press to Refresh and wait for the app to show Updated just now.
- If the app does not change to Updated just now, select to unlock and or lock your vehicle to ensure that your modem and app are communicating.
- Scroll to the Vehicle Location section.
- If the Unable to Locate option appears, ensure that your app permissions are enabled.
- Check for FordPass app updates on your mobile device.
- If you are unsure if your app is up-to-date, please search for FordPass™ in you respective app store.
- If the update option appears, install the latest app version and check for location updates in the app again.
- If you are unsure if your app is up-to-date, please search for FordPass™ in you respective app store.
If you completed the log out and reinstallation process, the app shows as up-to-date, and your Vehicle Location does not reappear, please contact a Guide for additional assistance.
