Vehicle Location Troubleshooting

In order to use the Vehicle Location feature in the app, you must:


If your Vehicle Location has stopped working:

  1. Log out of the app and then back in. 
    • Check if your vehicle location appears successfully.
  2. If not delete the app and reinstall it. 
    • Check if your vehicle location appears successfully.

If your Vehicle Location will not update:

  1. Navigate to the Vehicle tab.
  2. Tap Press to Refresh and wait for the app to show Updated just now.
    • If the app does not change to Updated just now, select to unlock and or lock your vehicle to ensure that your modem and app are communicating.
  3. Scroll to the Vehicle Location section.
  4. If the Unable to Locate option appears, ensure that your app permissions are enabled.
  5. Check for FordPass app updates on your mobile device.
    • If you are unsure if your app is up-to-date, please search for FordPass™ in you respective app store.
      • If the update option appears, install the latest app version and check for location updates in the app again.

If you completed the log out and reinstallation process, the app shows as up-to-date, and your Vehicle Location does not reappear, please contact a Guide for additional assistance.
