With AFS, cornering lights swivel to the left or right by up to 15˚ according to your speed and the angle of the steering wheel. So, as you turn the wheel, the dipped lights swivel to illuminate the road as you take the corner. This boosts forward visibility through bends and creates a safer driving environment. Integrated cornering lights are activated when you turn the steering wheel 30°. These give even more light on sharper bends, to help you avoid any potential problems around the next corner.

If you do a lot of driving at night, or in poor weather, these headlights are ideal, generating an extremely bright light but consuming less energy and with a longer service life than conventional halogen bulbs. They also light up a longer and wider angle than standard halogen bulbs.

The DAB Sony entertainment system houses a DAB radio/CD player with MP3 player connectivity linked to hi-fi-quality speakers. Together they make every note you listen to pin sharp. There’s also an external AUX jack for plugging in your MP3 player.

The Galaxy uses low-viscosity transmission oil developed by our fuel partner, BP. Our Flexifuel engines offer a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions by running on either bioethanol E85 or normal unleaded petrol – or any mixture of the two.

Our 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi engines with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), offer a choice of two power outputs, manual or automatic, with the manual engine emitting 159 g/km of CO_2.
