Double Cab

Skeletal Chassis
Ideal for conversions requiring lower floors. Available in four wheelbase and two rear axle options, with up to 3,500 kg GVM.

The Ford Transit Chassis Cab is available from 3.5 tonne up to 5 tonne Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) variants. The new 5 tonne model increases maximum payload capacity to 2,983 kg, ideal for heavy conversions.
Ready for work
The robust chassis provides an excellent foundation for fitting specialist bodies. For operators who want a quick and simple solution, our factory-built Transit floats are supplied ready to work.
Spacious 7-seater
Wide-opening doors provide easy access to the spacious interior. And with second row seating for four, Transit Chassis Double Cab carries up to seven people.
Optional tow bar
Either specify as a factory-fitted option or order later as an accessory, fitted via your Ford Dealer. In both cases, Trailer Sway Assist will be activated.

Upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission with console-mounted rotary gear shifter and steering wheel-mounted paddles.
Intelligent AWD
Intelligent All-wheel Drive (AWD) helps to improve handling over tough terrain and in adverse weather. Automatically activated in response to driving conditions.
Smart acceleration control
Adjusts throttle response based on payload ensuring smoother power delivery and can help lower fuel consumption – depending on driving style – plus engine, tyre, and break wear.

Standard ADAS includes Cruise Control (with Lane-Keeping and Intelligent Speed Assist), Pre-Collision Assist with Auto Emergency Braking, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring.

Optional Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include Pre-Collision Assist 2.2, Lane Centring, Blind Spot Assist, Cross Traffic Alert , Reverse Brake Assist, 360° camera, parking sensors, and Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (including stop-and-go for automatic transmission only).
