New vehicle extended warranty (prior to registration)
If you plan on keeping your new vehicle beyond its base warranty, you can extend your car warranty to 4 years / 80,000 miles or 5 years / 100,000 miles and commercial vehicle warranty to 4 years / 100,000 miles.
Ford Protect extended warranties for new vehicles can be purchased from your dealer up until the vehicle’s first date of registration.
Enhanced Commercial Vehicle Extended Warranty
An enhanced Ford Protect extended warranty with unlimited mileage for new Commercial Vehicles can be purchased up to 12 months from first vehicle registration date or up to 20,000 miles (whichever occurs first) from participating dealers.

Extended Warranty (after your base warranty expires)
Ford Protect extended warranties are the only Ford-approved warranty for Ford vehicles and may cover many items that other third-party warranty suppliers do not cover as standard. What is covered in a Ford Protect New Extended Warranty?
The key elements include: engine; transmission; catalytic converter; front axle; rear axle; steering; braking system (excluding brake pads, brake discs, brake shoes and brake drums); air conditioning; heating; Ford audio systems (if factory-fitted); airbag and the entire electrical system including engine control, central locking, ABS, electrically adjusted seats and all other components making up the electronic safety and convenience system. What is not covered in a Ford Protect New Extended Warranty?
