Ford Focus Tyre Pressure System information

An early warning if a tyre is going flat

If any of your tyres starts to lose pressure during your journey, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you immediately if there’s a puncture by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.

A Euro NCAP Advanced reward, for keeping you safe

Active City Stop, Lane Keeping Aid, Driver Alert and Forward Alert have received a Euro NCAP Advanced reward: the highest given by Europe’s leading independent safety organisation. The rewards recognise only the most advanced avoidance, crash and post-crash technologies available in a car.

To help avoid low speed collisions

The innovative Active City Stop helps the driver avoid a collision in slow-moving traffic or at speeds up to 30mph. It does this by continually measuring the distance to the vehicle in front when it is within a near range. If the system detects the vehicle in front has unexpectedly reduced speed, it automatically applies the brakes.

Coordinated safety systems activate in a split-second

The Focus is equipped with an advanced Intelligent Protection System (IPS), which coordinates a series of safety systems to offer maximum protection for you and your passengers.

Focus Control

Stay in control whatever the conditions

Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your vehicle’s progress. It senses when a vehicle is losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels, stabilising it. Using advanced sensors from the anti-lock braking and Traction Control System it monitors the behaviour of the vehicle.

Seat belt reminder system for added safety

This feature helps keep your rear passengers safe and secure, while you’re on the move. It gives you an audible and visual warning, if any of the seats in use don’t have their belts fastened.
