Nürburgring proven
It did it! We set Mustang® GTD the goal of achieving what very few street-legal production cars have, lapping the famous 12.8 miles Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack in under 7 minutes. On 7th August 2024, professional racing driver, Dirk Müller, took the Mustang GTD around the track in an incredible 6m 57.685s, averaging an astonishing 118 mph around the 73 corners.
Dirk returned to the Nürburgring this year. This time Mustang GTD posted an even quicker lap time, completing the circuit in a very impressive 6m 40.835s.

Engine & Transmission
The Ford Performance-engineered 5.2L V8 engine with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission is tuned for monstrous potency and 815 horsepower.
Race-Inspired suspension
Unique front suspension provides enhanced lateral stiffness, especially in high-G cornering. Combined with a first-of-its-kind dual ride height, the Mustang GTD’s suspension is optimized to smooth out dynamic conditions on streets and tracks alike.
Dynamic aero rear wing
The Mustang GTD features performance technology throughout, including the dynamic aero rear wing. This provides downforce to produce responsive control while driving corners and opens to reduce drag down straights.
Apex-Carving Handing
Mustang® GTD power is transmitted through a lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft connected to an 8-speed rear transaxle, for near 50/50 weight distribution producing responsive handling and performance.
