A range of all-new Ford EcoBlue 2.0 litre TDCi engines offer increased power and torque and, at the same time, deliver improved fuel economy and lower emissions. The advanced Ford EcoBlue 2.0L TDCi diesel engines comply with the stringent Euro6 emissions standard, which specifies a 55% reduction in nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions versus the Euro5 emissions standard.

Engineered to meet strict Euro6 emissions standards, Transit’s Ford EcoBlue 2.0 litre TDCi engines combine out‐ standing performance and power with lower fuel consumption and emissions, from as low as 44.8 mpg (6.1 L/100km) and 162g/km CO2. To lower running costs further, service intervals are now up to 36,000 miles or 2 years. Available in three power outputs of 105 PS/ 360 Nm, 130 PS / 385 Nm and 170PS / 405 Nm, there’s an option to suit your needs.

AdBlue

An additive that removes pollution

A selective catalytic reduction system uses AdBlue®, a urea/water-based fluid to convert NOx emissions in the exhaust gas into nitrogen and water. A particulate filter then reduces more than 99% of emitted solid particulates from the vehicle’s exhaust. To operate correctly, the AdBlue® tank of your Ford EcoBlue diesel engine must be filled with AdBlue® fluid. System warnings illuminate when fluid level becomes too low.

Re-charge your battery more efficiently

Unlike traditional systems, Smart Regenerative Charging only charges the battery when it needs it and, whenever possible, avoids doing so when you’re pressing the accelerator. This can help save even more fuel and further reduce emissions.

Auto Start Stop

Use less fuel with Auto-Start-Stop

When you stop at traffic lights or your vehicle is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine (while still supplying power to essentials like the headlights, air-conditioning, radio and the Ford SYNC system). When you're ready to move, just depress the clutch and select first gear as usual, or press the accelerator on an automatic, and the system restarts. Auto-Start-Stop is particularly effective in town and city streets, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10% (urban cycle).

The innovative Ford Eco Mode system continually assesses the effects of your driving behaviour on your fuel consumption. The system analyses your speed, gear shifting, braking and anticipation levels, plus the number of short and long journeys you make.

Acceleration Control

Acceleration Control helps you drive more economically

This innovative option controls the rate of acceleration according to whether your vehicle is un-laden or part-laden. As a result, you can expect to lower your fuel consumption by up to 15%, depending on your driving style. The technology can also help reduce the amount of wear and tear on the engine, brakes and tyres, along with other components.
