Ford Driven To Run Challenge Promotion: Terms and Conditions of Participation

 

The Promoter of the Ford Driven To Run Challenge Promotion is Ford Motor Company Limited. Registered in England No 235446. Registered Office: Arterial Road, Laindon, Essex, SS15 6EE.

By participating in the Ford Driven To Run Challenge Promotion, you (“You”, the “Entrant”) expressly accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. Please retain a copy for your information.

 

1. Eligibility

 

1.1. This promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents; or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.

1.2. Membership of Ford Run Club on Strava is required for entry. Entrants must complete the Ford Driven to Run Challenge on Strava, which consists of 30 minutes of activity for 10 days over the four-week Acitivity Period.

1.3. No purchase necessary. Internet access and Strava account required.

1.4. Maximum of 1 entry into the Prize Draw per person. Maximum of 1 prize per person.

 

2. Promotional Period

 

2.1. The Activity Period will open at 00.01 on 10 November 2025 and close at 23.59 on 7 December 2025 (“Activity Period”). Any activity which is logged on Strava towards the Ford Driven to Run Challenge must be undertaken during this four-week period.

2.2. Entry forms can be submitted for a further three days after the end of the Activity Period. The closing date by which forms must be submitted is 23.59 on 10 December 2025 (“Closing Date”).

 

3. How to Enter

 

3.1. To enter the Prize Draw, entrants must download the Strava app, create an account (full name and email address required), and join Ford Run Club on Strava. In order to be eligible to win a prize, entrants must complete 30 minutes of physical activity for at least 10 days during the four-week Activity Period. This physical activity must be logged by the Strava app. 

3.2. Once the entrant completes the challenge, they will receive an email from Strava containing a link to an entry form. This entry form will be sent to the email address linked to the entrant’s Strava account. This entry form will request the entrant’s full name, email address, phone number, postal address and Strava handle, as well as confirmation that they are over the age of 18 and confirmation of whether they are a Ford Dealer employee. By completing this form, you agree to participate in the Ford Driven To Run Challenge Promotion. Only entries via this official entry form will be accepted.

3.3. All entries must be made by the entrant themselves.  Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted

3.4. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the Prize Draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the Promotion that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void. 

 

4. The Prize

 

4.1. There are 35 prizes available to be won in total, consisting of:

4.1.1. Tier 1: 5 x TCS London Marathon 2026 Places, including 2 night’s hotel accommodation (4* minimum) for 2 people in central London, including breakfast. Both winner and guest must be aged 18 or over. Travel to/from London is not included. A valid credit or debit card may be required for security deposit purposes when checking into hotel accommodation. Hotel accommodation is based on two adults sharing one double/twin room, and hotel will be selected by Prize Provider at their sole discretion. The prize must be taken on 26 April 2026, and no alternative date will be provided. 

4.1.2. Tier 2: 10 x Strava Premium Memberships. This will be issued as a unique code to be redeemed on the Strava app. It will remain active for one year from the date when it is redeemed by the winner. It cannot be exchanged for cash and will not be reissued if lost or misplaced. Strava Premium Membership does not auto-renew.

4.1.3. Tier 3: 20 x Ford Run Club Branded Goodie Bags, each containing 1 x fabric bag, 1 x collapsible water bottle, 1 x running waist pack and 1 x cap, including secure delivery within the United Kingdom.

4.2. Anything not expressly stated above is not included in the prize.

4.3. The winner is responsible for all costs and expenses not expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions as being included as part of the Prize. This includes all costs and expenses incurred from use of the Prize, such as travel expenses, transfers and food/drink.

4.4. No cash or alternative prize will be provided, except for in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value. All prizes are non-transferable.

 

5. Winner Selection/Notification & Prize Fulfilment

 

5.1. Winners will be drawn from all eligible entries on 11 December 2025. Winners will be selected via a randomised computer process.

5.2. Winners will be informed of their win by Ford after the end of the Promotion and the drawing process. The winner will be informed by email or via a DM on their Strava account, using the information provided on the entry form, within 5 working days of the prize draw date. 

5.3. Winners will be asked to confirm acceptance of the prize and to provide a scan of their government issued photo ID (clearly showing the winner’s date of birth) within 7 days of initial notification, for the purpose of winner verification. 

5.4. In the case that they do not respond in time, reject their prize or are ineligible, replacement winners will be selected using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat until eligible winners are able to claim all Prizes. The Promoter reserves the right not to award any prizes which remain unclaimed after attempts have been made to contact three replacement winners. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their email and social media accounts during this time in case they are the winner.

5.5. Each participant is responsible for the accuracy of the contact information they provide.

5.6. Once winners have been verified, prizes will be fulfilled according to the following timelines.

5.6.1. Tier 1 winners (TCS London Marathon Places) will receive an email within 14 days of the prize draw date, to request the details for the winner and their guest. Once details have been provided, information and instructions regarding the TCS London Marathon place and hotel accommodation will be provided to the winner no less than 14 days in advance of the marathon.

5.6.2. Tier 2 prizes (Strava Premium Memberships) will be issued as a unique code, sent to the email address provided by the winner. These will be sent out by email within 31 days of the prize draw date.

5.6.3. Tier 3 prizes (Ford Run Club Goody Bags) will be delivered to winners within 31 days of the prize draw date.

 

6. Privacy Policy

 

6.1. By participating, you confirm that:

6.1.1. Your participation does not violate any third-party rights;

6.1.2. You consent to the creation and use of photographs and videos of yourself in connection with the Promotion. This material may be used in media channels, including social media, newsletters, and Ford websites;

6.1.3. Ford will use the contact details you used when signing up for a Strava account, in accordance with the privacy policy, to notify you of a potential win. Please refer here for Ford Privacy Policy. You accept the Privacy Policy when joining Ford Run Club on Strava.

6.2. Ford reserves the right to exclude individuals from participating in the Promotion if there are legitimate reasons, such as a violation of the terms and conditions, and reserves the right to take legal action.

6.3 Entry data will be stored for three months after the Closing Date before deletion. You can request access to your personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to DPeurope@ford.com

 

7. Complaints

 

7.1. All disputes or complaints relating to the Promotion or Prize Draw should be referred to the Promoter. Please include the details of the Prize Draw and the nature of your complaint and the Promoter will promptly respond to your complaint.

 

8. Third Party Rights

 

8.1. No person who is not a party to an Agreement shall have any right pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of such Agreement.

 

9. Applicable Law

 

9.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the law of the relevant country for each entrant, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant country they reside in.

 

10. General

 

10.1. The Promoter will make available the main prize winners’ surnames and counties of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting ukcrc1@ford.com. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. You may request a copy of the winners list by emailing ukcrc1@ford.com. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse such requests.

10.2. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for proof of ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent). The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means.

10.3. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the promotion and on prize acceptance.  The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects their eligibility to win the prize or the ability of the Promoter to successfully make contact.

10.4. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, traffic congestion, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries.

10.5. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions (including but not limited to global or regional health crises, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

10.6. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion, the fulfilment of the prizes and/or the use of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

10.7. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

10.8. The Promoter’s decision is final with regard to all promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

11. The Promoter reserves the right to require the winners to participate in publicity events in relation to this promotion for Ford Motor Company Limited. In particular, the Promoter may publish the winner(s) name, county and photographs on the Ford UK Facebook page (www.facebook.com/forduk), in future editions of Ford’s newsletter, Ford News Magazine, and photographs and footage of the winner and guest during their trip on www.ford.co.uk. By participating in the promotion, each Participant agrees to grant Ford Motor Company Limited, its subsidiaries and affiliates a royalty-free license to publish, broadcast and otherwise use the material in any media worldwide (including social media accounts including Ford’s official Twitter and Instagram accounts as well as any other media of Ford and our affiliates’ choosing).

12. By entering the competition, you will provide the Promoter with personal information including your name and email address.  The Promoter will use this personal information to review your entry for the competition, select competition winners and to communicate with you if you are selected as a competition winner.  If you are selected as a competition winner, the Promoter will announce you as a winner in accordance with the clause above. Ford may be filming and photographing competition winners at the experience and may use film footage and photographs for promotional purposes on Ford’s social media accounts including Ford’s official Twitter and Instagram accounts as well as any other media of Ford and our affiliates’ choosing.

The UK’s data protection law allows us to use your personal information provided we have a legal basis for doing so. The legal basis that we rely on to use your information is that we have a legitimate interest in running the competition and promoting the Ford business.  In order to administer the competition as set out above, we may share personal information with our affiliates ('our affiliates' means the group of companies related to us by common control or ownership) and external service providers who are subject to agreements that oblige them to only use the personal information as we instruct and to keep it securely.

Your data is stored on servers operated by us and our service providers. These servers may be located outside the European Economic Area (including USA). Where your personal information is transferred to these countries, we will ensure that your personal information is adequately protected.

Subject to local law, you may have rights in certain circumstances to access, rectify, erase, block, restrict, object to or port your data. The competition does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 years of age.  We will only hold your personal information for the duration necessary to allow us to administer the competition, carry out the promotional purposes described in the Terms or for any additional period as required by law.

We use appropriate systems, policies and procedures and technology to protect and maintain the security and accuracy of your information.

This Privacy Policy may be updated in order to reflect any changes to the opportunity, our privacy practices and use of your information, or applicable law.

13. Participants' name and home town will be used and/or disclosed for the purposes of running the promotion, for participation in the competition and in accordance with the Promoters' Privacy Policy, which is located at www.ford.co.uk.

14. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems of traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any website, or combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a Participant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in relation to the promotion. By participating in the competition, you agree that no claim relating to any such loss or injury (including without limitation special, indirect or consequential losses) shall be asserted against the Promoter or its parent company, affiliates, directors, officers, employers or agents.

15. This competition is governed by the law of England and Wales and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from the entry or interpretation of these terms and conditions.
