Keep your car windscreen and windows clear for maximum visibility. This video will show you how to get rid of condensation on the insides of your car windows.

How to stop car windows steaming up
  • If you want to remove condensation on the inside of your windows, watch this short video. In just a few minutes, everything will become perfectly clear.

Steamed up windows. Foggy windows. Misted up windows. Condensation on the inside of your windows…

Whatever you call the problem, this video can help you solve it.

Follow the simple, step-by-step instructions and you’ll soon become a skilled steamy window clearer.

    • First, make sure your engine’s running so the heating and ventilation systems work.
    • Does your Ford have a MAX button on your heating and ventilation controls? If so, you can switch everything on at once.
    • The display on your dashboard shows it’s working.
    • If your car doesn’t have a MAX button, no problem. You can demist the windows manually.
    • Turn the fan to full power.
    • Now turn the temperature to the highest setting.
    • Next, turn the air conditioning on.
    • This starts circulating the air and helps remove moisture.
    • Make sure you turn off ‘Recirc’.
    • This directs condensation to the outside of your vehicle.
    • TOP TIP: Open your windows slightly to help with airflow.
    • Make sure the air distribution is pointing to the windscreen.
    • You can also set the fan to blow air towards you.
    • Using this setting, you can point the air vents at the side windows. This will help clear them, too.
    • If your rear window is fogged, simply switch on the heated rear window.

    TO SUM UP:

    • Put your heater on full blast.
    • Put your AC ON.
    • Turn your ‘recirc’ OFF.
    • Open the windows slightly.

That’s how easy it is to demist the inside of your windows.

But if there’s anything you’re not sure about, you can always refer to your Owner’s Manual, or simply contact your Ford Dealer.
