Smart safety technology

The All-New Focus ST is packed with technologies to help protect you, your passengers, and other road users. Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your progress. If the system detects a loss of traction, it can automatically apply individual brakes, helping to keep you stable. Larger brake components deliver improved braking performance. There’s also Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, which can alert you to potential obstacles in the road an even apply the brakes if necessary.

Serious stopping power

The new Focus ST features an improved performance braking system, including dual-piston front calipers, plus larger front and rear disc components than other Focus models. Tested to the same demanding limits as the Ford GT supercar, braking performance on the new Focus ST achieves almost four-times the fade resistance than the previous generation ST.

Smart, convenient and space-saving

The electric parking brake is a simple addition that has some surprising advantages. For instance, it gives you more room in the cabin, it’s easier to apply, and you won’t have to get the brakes serviced as regularly. And to apply the brake, all you have to do is press a button in the centre console.

A system that can help protect pedestrians

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses RADAR and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, the system is designed to alert you to the potential collision. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
