Safety
As a business user, you need to have confidence in your vehicle. So the Ford Transit can take plenty of tough treatment.

Safety
All-round protection
In keeping with its role as a passenger vehicle, the Ford Transit’s reinforced body structure offers plenty of all-round passive protection. Plus a wealth of sophisticated active safety features too. These include four-wheel disc brakes with ABS (anti-lock brakes) and electronic brake-force distribution to help prevent the rear wheels from locking-up, particularly when driving unladen.

The Ford Transit’s impressive handling can be further enhanced with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme). Combined with Brake Assist – a system that detects emergency braking and applies maximum braking effort to potentially reduce stopping distances – and BTCS (brake traction control system) to aid traction when pulling away from rest, it helps keep you on course when the going gets tough.

In addition, every Ford Transit benefits from numerous practical safety features, including a driver’s airbag, optional front passenger’s airbag* and side airbags. Visibility is enhanced by large exterior door mirrors with wide angle lenses.

*A rear-facing child seat should never be placed in the front passenger seat when the Ford vehicle is equipped with an operational front passenger’s airbag.
