Ford Focus ECOnetic Smart Driving Challenge
Terms and conditions
  1. The Ford Focus ECOnetic Smart Driving Competition in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust (EST) is subject to the following terms and conditions.
  2. The competition will consist of 5 regional events (1. Murrayfield, Scotland 2. Longleat, Wiltshire 3. Blue Reef Aquarium, Tynemouth 4. Knowsley Park, Merseyside 5.West Midlands Safari Park, Worcestershire)
  3. The point of the competition is to record the lowest CO2 emissions during a measured drive within a set time.
  4. All drives will be undertaken in a Ford Focus Econetic over a course of Fords choosing at each venue. Ford will make reasonable efforts to keep the routes similar.
  5. Entrance to the competition is open to the first 30 entrants received for each of the 5 regional events.
  6. Entrance for the 5 regional events is via telephone number 0845 6006500.
  7. There will be one winner from each of the regional events whose CO2 emissions score will go forward to the national competition for the national prize.
  8. The winner of each of the regional prizes will be the driver who records the lowest CO2 emissions score during their measured drive within the time period set by Ford. In the event of a tie the prize will be divided among the prize-winners.
  9. The national prize will be won by the regional winner who recorded the lowest CO2 emissions score during their measured drive at the regional event within the time period set by Ford. In the event of a tie the prize will be divided among the prize-winners.
  10. Winners of the 5 regional events will win one of 5 prizes of 1 months loan of a Ford Focus Econetic at a date to be agreed between Ford and the winners and £1000 of EST approved energy efficient equipment and improvements for their home.
  11. There will be a further 1 national prize for the national winner of £10,000 worth of EST approved energy efficient electrical equipment, insulation and small scale renewables for their home.
  12. The winners may be required to take part in publicity (including photographs)
  13. The competition will be supervised by an independent person, with the winner receiving their prize by 31st December, 2008.
  14. The loan of a Ford Focus Econetic is subject to the winner being resident in the UK and holding a current clean UK driving licence.
  15. Entry implies acceptance of these rules The competition is not open to Ford Motor Company Group employees or employee’s of any agency groups or employees of the Energy Saving Trust
  16. Only one entry per household

  18. This is a competition to win one of the prizes listed. There are no alternatives to this prize
  19. Ford Motor Company has the right to change the rules at any time
  20. The decision of the judge is final
