We’ve teamed up with the Energy Saving Trust to bring you the Ford Focus ECOnetic Smart Driving Challenge. We’re staging a series of events across the country to teach people about smarter driving. You’ll learn all about driving in a fuel-efficient manner, which will help reduce your fuel consumption and save you money. What’s more, you’ll cut back on your carbon dioxide emissions as well.

And you won’t just save on your fuel. Not only could you win some fantastic prizes, you’ll also receive a free family ticket into the venue where the challenge is taking place.

On the day, each participant will have an hour in a new Ford Focus ECOnetic with a smart driving instructor. You’ll do one circuit in your normal driving style and then after some instruction, you’ll do the circuit again. The driver who shows the most improvement in each individual event will win:

• The use of a new Ford Focus ECOnetic for one month
• An eco home makeover to the value of £1,000.

And the overall winner will receive the grand prize of:

• An eco home makeover up to the value of £10,000.
