With rugged, muscular looks and a commanding presence, the Ranger is designed to be equally at home in town or country. Whether for work or pleasure, it’s one tough, resilient and reliable vehicle that’s built to take on the most difficult challenges – both on and off-road.

With enhanced style and comfort inside, Ranger’s refined car-like interior provides relaxed driving and all the space you’ll need for work and leisure.

There are three different cab configurations and a range of four models, offering increasing degrees of space, luxury and innovative features – so there’s a Ranger to take you up a mountain, through a building site, down to the beach, or across town to a business meeting.
Bold styling
Combining the resilience of a workhorse with the looks and performance of a thoroughbred.
Handling
With some awesome torque, a choice of supremely powerful diesel engines and superb grip, Ranger handles itself superbly on and off the road.
Interior
Designed to create a stylish and comfortable working environment with plenty of space for your equipment.
Stability
A rigid frame and robust suspension produce a stable and sure-footed ride, whatever the terrain.
Versatility
Different cab configurations, engine sizes and specification levels mean your Ranger is ideally suited for the job.
Comprehensive safety system
Having such incredible capabilities, it was vital that we fitted a comprehensive system to keep you safe.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD)
This system will reduce your speed safely, even if you are fully laden and towing a trailer.
Versatile interior
Ranger offers a stylish colour coordinated interior, which is hard-wearing and easy to clean, yet stylish enough to take colleagues to a business meeting.

The Ranger XLT has woven carpets, embossed floor mats and velour trim with chrome-effect embossed scuff plates to give a more car-like feel.

Ranger Thunder offers real luxury with its crafted black leather trim, leather wrapped steering wheel, footwell lighting to enhance the vehicle's premium feel and high quality 6-CD audio system, incorporating six speakers.

For those who demand the best, look no further than the Ranger Wildtrak. Its spacious interior offers the luxury and comfort you would expect of an executive saloon. Colour-coded scuff plates, custom floor mats and the leather/perforated Alcantara® seats all boast the Wildtrak logo. There’s also a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob.
Handy stowage
An ergonomically designed interior will make your life easier whether you are using your Ranger for work, rest or play. To keep things organised, there’s a two-tier centre console with a double lid, so no matter how wet or muddy things get outside, things inside will remain clean and dry. The upper compartment is ideal for mobile phones and sunglasses, while the lower bin stores larger objects, with space for up to 10 CDs. In addition, there’s a massive 8.0-litre lockable glove box, which contains a 380 mm x 130 mm pullout working tray.

Of course, because hard work is thirsty work, there are up to five cup holders within easy reach of the driver and front passenger, plus two 1-litre bottle holders.
Alloy wheels
To really stand out on the street, a site or a mountain top, all Ranger XLT, Thunder and Wildtrak models come with stylish 16" alloy wheels.
A range of work accessories
To help you tackle even the toughest tasks with confidence we offer a range of work-proven accessories, all manufactured to our exacting standards.

This includes a selection of hard and soft covers for the load box, plus a bed liner to protect it.
The Ranger Challenge
Taking place nationwide throughout 2008 and 2009, the Ranger Challenge is a series of different physical feats designed to test your speed, strength, endurance and determination – attributes shared by the Ford Ranger.

Just some of the Challenges overcome this year include the Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge, where teams conquered the longest lake, steepest pass and highest mountain in 12 hours to raise money for charity; and the Ranger Sky Masters Challenge, which saw 60 world-class climbers give enthusiasts a thrilling aerial master class.
