The Ford Transit has been awarded the prestigious title 'International Van of the Year 2007'. The panel of independent leading commercial vehicle journalists representing 19 European countries, made it clear they were seriously impressed with the advances Ford have made. They said:-

‘Ford’s engineers have taken one of Europe’s best vans and made it even better. Whether in city traffic or on motorways, the driveability of Transit is excellent.’

At Ford we were so proud that the Transit had been awarded this highly respected prize that we replicated the trophy on a slightly more impressive scale. Over a three week construction period 16 specialist builders created an impressive 50ft [15.24 metres] high structure using almost 4.5 miles [7.24km] of scaffolding. In addition the imposing replica also integrated three of Europe’s top selling Transit vans providing a fantastic point of scale.
