Sleek and tough, agile and practical, the Ford Ranger is truly a vehicle you can take anywhere. The Thunder and XLT come with contemporary styling such as chrome detail and metallic paint*. All models have tinted glass and a double-skinned steel pick-up box with 2-position drop-down tailgate, ensuring the Ranger is as practical as it is visually arresting.

Body

Improved front suspension

Enhanced double wishbone front suspension provides superior initial damping response with excellent road holding, driver control and roll stiffness, both laden and unladen.

Sharper steering

The recirculating ball-and-nut type steering system ensures that the driver retains sensitive and responsive steering whatever the conditions. This allows easier low-speed parking manoeuvres and minimum of understeer and oversteer at high speeds.

Greater rigidity

The wide diameter suspension damper and 32 mm gas pressurised shock absorbers give increased rigidity for greater drive stability.

Wider rear spring span

The long leaf spring length ensures improved ride characteristics while enhancing driving quality.
