Ford Rental has the advantage of being able to offer its customers the complete range of passenger and commercial vehicles, from the award winning S-MAX to the much anticipated new Mondeo, the outstanding Ford Transit to the 7.5 tonne Luton. The vehicles on our fleet are of varying specification and dealers have the opportunity to register new models as soon as they become available, enabling Ford Rental customers to be among the first to drive these models.

Q. Do you have a minimum / maximum age limit for hiring?

A. We are able to take bookings from drivers aged 25-70 and in some instances we can accept bookings from 21+, we will always try to accommodate any exceptions. Q. Can I take the vehicle abroad?

A. Customers can take our vehicles abroad, if you want to go abroad this should be mentioned at the time of booking with information about the length of time out of the country and the countries you are visiting so as to enable our staff time to get all relevant documentation and cover arranged. This documentation is essential when passing national borders as otherwise the vehicle is liable to be seized by Customs and Excise. An additional charge will apply.

Q. Do you offer long term hire?

A. We have a product called DrivePlus, which has been specially designed to suit your long term car and commercial rental requirements. This has been created to meet the needs of customers requiring a rental vehicle for 3 months or more. Its highly competitive tariff means DrivePlus is a real alternative to contract hire or leasing. Ideal for short term contract employees, visiting management, pool cars or a temporary solution for factory ordered vehicles. Enjoy the latest models and specification without the commitment of leasing. With no need to worry about taxing or servicing the vehicle, it’s easy to run a vehicle through DrivePlus. Our competitive tariffs reflect the length of hire, and customers hiring for 28 days plus also receive substantial benefits.

Q. Can I have an additional driver?

A. Yes you can. Additional drivers are subject to the same conditions as the main driver and there will be a small charge for each additional driver.

Q. Do you accept Credit Card bookings?

A. For business customers Ford Rental is able to accept several methods of payment, including BACS transfer, Corporate purchasing card and Credit card.

Q. Does Ford Rental offer environmentally friendly vehicles?

A. We are proud to offer Flexifuel vehicles as part of our Ford Rental fleet. Ford was the first vehicle manufacturer in Europe to offer production passenger vehicles with Flexifuel vehicle (FFV) Technology. With the use of renewable raw materials, as the basis of bio-ethanol fuel, the Ford Focus and Ford C-MAX Flexifuel vehicles can be considered as truly green vehicles. Ford Focus and C-MAX Flexifuel vehicles both use a state-of-the-art 1.8 litre Flexifuel engine. They can be run on bioethanol, petrol or any mixture of the two. Coming soon the all new Mondeo, new Ford Galaxy and Ford S-MAX, will be available from Ford as Flexifuel vehicles.
