All new Fiesta clearly embodies the hallmarks of kinetic Design and brings the most appealing elements of the Verve concept car to production reality. It’s bold, dynamic and sculpted, with a coupé-like profile. Unlike other small cars, which tend to grow in size and weight over time, the all new Fiesta stands on virtually the same footprint as before and is actually lighter than its predecessor.

The all new Ford Fiesta incorporates features and technologies normally found in larger, more expensive vehicles, rejecting the notion that a small car has to be basic or boring. The new suspension and steering system has been significantly enhanced, and Electric-Power Assist Steering is introduced for the first time. There’s also reach and rake steering wheel adjustment, new ambient lighting and a one-touch lowering driver’s window with anti-trap technology.

The new centre console features a convenient tray for MP3 players, complete with built-in jack sockets for an auxiliary cable and USB. In addition, there’s Bluetooth® connectivity with Voice Control.

An extremely robust safety structure includes an Intelligent Protection System with a new driver’s knee airbag. New ultra-high-strength steels deliver exceptional structural stiffness – and critical protection – for a remarkably light weight.

The futuristic, mobile phone-inspired interior offers the latest in Ford’s driving, entertainment and communication technology. The Ford HMI (Human Machine Interface) system follows the centre console contours to frame a large-screen display and control panel with key buttons for audio, in-car phone and vehicle settings.

With a broad array of powertrain choices, the all new Fiesta is a responsive yet efficient performer. In addition later in 2008 a Fiesta ECOnetic with CO2 emissions of less that 100g/km will become available.
