In the UK alone, at least 150,000 people mistakenly add diesel to their petrol tank every year. It’s easily done – but not in a new Kuga. Ford Easy Fuel is a capless refuelling system with a mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzles used for petrol and diesel.
Dual-split tailgate design
Now you’ll find it easy to load either small or large items into the Kuga, using the dual-split tailgate. This new design feature lets you use either the upper mini-tailgate section, or open the full hatch in the normal way.
Deflation Detection System (DDS) (optional)
Tyre pressure can make a big difference to performance, road holding, fuel economy and your personal safety. DDS works by taking account of driving conditions. A sensor checks the wheel-turning speeds and a warning light in the instrument panel activates if the tyre pressure drops.
Runflat tyres (optional – not available at launch)
Should you encounter a puncture, Runflat tyre technology means you can continue driving to find the nearest place where the tyre can be replaced.
