The technologically advanced Intelligent Protection System (IPS) keeps constant watch over the vehicle. So you and your passengers can relax, knowing you have a comprehensive safety system to keep your new Kuga secure.

Active safety features

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)

ABS prevents the brakes from locking the wheels on the new Kuga. This helps prevent skidding if you have to brake when cornering, or need to make an emergency stop.

Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)

EBD balances the braking force independently across all four wheels. This gives you more stable braking and can result in shorter stopping distances.

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)

ESP detects sudden changes in steering and braking, helping to prevent loss of control of the vehicle. It reacts automatically if needed, reducing power and braking individual wheels. And with EBA as standard, it applies maximum braking force when necessary, helping reduce stopping distances in an emergency.

Traction Control System (TCS)

Our advanced Traction Control System (TCS) ensures maximum contact between each individual tyre and the road when accelerating or decelerating.
