ECOnetic and Flexifuel
We are determined to reduce the environmental impact of our vehicles through technology. Our engineers have worked hard to deliver a Focus that emits less CO2. The result is the innovative new Focus ECOnetic, which emits just 114 g/km of CO2; a class-leading level. In addition, the new Focus is available with a Flexifuel engine that runs on bioethanol (E85) fuel, which discharges significantly less CO2 than a standard petrol engine. If you are running low on fuel and bioethanol is not readily available, you can use petrol until you next need to fill up.
Sony DAB
A DAB Sony entertainment system features a digital DAB radio which provides improved reception and sound quality plus high-output speakers that make every note pin sharp. This system on Focus Style, Zetec, Titanium and ST, provides easy-to-use tuning and access to an extensive range of radio stations.

Distinctive bodystyling
The new Focus exemplifies our progressive Ford kinetic Design principles. Stylish, swept-back headlights and an imposing grille give it an athletic front-on stance. Along its sides, graceful lines sweep down towards the rear, leading the eye to the dynamically styled back bumper with chrome detailing. This is a car you’ll love looking at as much as driving.
Ford Focus ECOnetic voted Car of the Year by Whatgreencar?
The independent panel at www.whatgreencar.com recently and unanimously declared the Ford Focus ECOnetic as the greenest family-size car available, with judges representing leading UK transport organisations such as the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and Energy Saving Trust.
Whatgreencar.com's lifetime impact rating, covering cars' use and manufacture, scored the 1.6-litre ECOnetic Focus better than the site's benchmark hybrid.
With a rating of 33 out of 100 (where 100 is the most toxic), the 65.6 mpg Ford Focus ECOnetic emits just 115 g CO2/km. It sits between a 1.0-litre model and the lowest-rated hybrid.

Commitment to the future
We are always striving for ways to reduce our impact on the environment. Almost all of our vehicles and their constituent parts (up to 95%) can now be used again in other vehicles or in other manufacturing processes. The noise insulation is made from used denim jeans and reclaimed upholstery.

Ford Easy Fuel
Often, people mistakenly add diesel to their petrol tank – or vice versa. In the UK alone there are at least 150,000 mis-fuelling incidents a year. It’s easily done – but not in a new Focus. Ford Easy Fuel is available as standard. It’s a capless refuelling system with a mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzles used for petrol and diesel.
TÜV allergy and British certification
If you, or a member of your family suffer from allergies, you’ll be relieved to know that all the materials we use inside the new Focus have the ‘seal of approval’ from the British Allergy Foundation, and have also been fully tested to meet the stringent anti-allergy requirements necessary for approval by the TÜV, a German quality standard.
