Ford Mondeo takes caravan club towcar honours for second year

Ford's latest generation Mondeo has won a Caravan Club Towcar Award for the second year in a row. The Mondeo Titanium X Estate triumphed against tough competition in the £25,000 to £32,000 category at the Caravan Club's ceremony, the UK's longest running towing vehicle competition.
 
Ford Focus wins top honours at used car awards

UK buyers thinking of investing in a used car should take note: Ford has been voted tops by two separate panels of used car experts this week. What Car? put the Ford Focus and Ford Mondeo top of their respective categories ("Small Family Car" and "Family Car"), and put the popular Focus ahead of the opposition to become overall Britain's the best used car of 2008.
 
Ford Focus ECOnetic voted Car of the Year by Whatgreencar?

Environmental motoring website Whatgreencar? has awarded its first Green Car of the Year award to the Ford Focus ECOnetic. Whatgreencar.com's lifetime impact rating covering cars' use and manufacture scored the 1.6-litre ECOnetic Focus better than the site's benchmark hybrid.

Ford Kuga achieves best overall rating for its class in euro NCAP Safety test
In the latest phase of Euro NCAP safety tests the all-new Ford Kuga compact crossover has achieved the best combination of star ratings, placing the car at the top of the table in the Euro NCAP Small Off-road 4x4 group. Awarded the maximum five stars for Adult Occupant Protection, this rating is enhanced by four stars for Child Occupant Protection and three stars for Pedestrian Protection.
 
European first for Ford as foundation praises it's allergy-friendly vehicles

Ford has become the first vehicle manufacturer to receive the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation's (ECARF) Seal of Quality. The award is given to products that are suitable for allergy sufferers. The research organisation awarded its sought-after Seal of Quality to six Ford models for their allergy-friendly interiors - the Ka, Focus, C-MAX, Mondeo, S-MAX and Galaxy.
 
Double glory for new Ford Mondeo

Ford's new Mondeo has picked up two of the industry's most prestigious accolades as the fleet and family favourite continues to receive recognition from all corners of the motoring press. At last night’s What Car? awards, held in The Grosvenor, Park Lane, the Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Zetec scooped a win in both the Family Car and Estate Car categories.

In announcing the What Car? Reader Award, Steve Fowler, Group Editor of What Car? said: "The striking looks of Ford’s Verve Concept have clearly struck a chord with whatcar.com and evecars.com users. It received twice as many votes as the runner up, the new VW Scirocco, which bodes extremely well for the Fiesta replacement which will follow the Verve’s style lead when it’s launched later this year."

Ford’s trophy collection continues to increase with the announcement of a double success in the 2008 4x4 & MPV Driver magazine awards. Both the Ford S-MAX and Ford Ranger Wildtrak were named as champions in the MPV of the Year and Double Cab of the Year categories respectively.

The Environment Agency has become the sixth organisation to include a Ford Focus Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) on its fleet. The leading public body for improving the environment took delivery of the Ford bio-ethanol car at the agency's Bridgwater offices, Somerset.
