Transit "45 Year" Celebration: Transit Sapphire

- 2010 is the 45th year of production of the Ford Transit in Britain and it has now been market leader every year since its launch in 1965.
- From 78 derivatives in 1965 there are now over 600 Transit entities ensuring it's placed at the heart of Britain's workforce by providing a range of dedicated commercial vehicles to ensure there is a model for every possible job.
- To celebrate the Transit brand success into 2010 we are launching a Transit SVP (Special Vehicle Product) 'Sapphire' that will particularly appeal to owner operators and small businesses looking for enhanced comfort and convenience at special value prices. The SVPs will also appeal to these customers as it will be a reflection of their business success.
- Available as four panel van models: 260S 2.2L 140PS SportVan, 280S 2.2L 115PS, 280M 2.2L 115PS and 350L 2.4L 115PS.
- Except the SportVan, the Sapphire SVPs are based on a 'Trend' spec model with the addition of air-conditioning, silver painted grille, silver mirror caps and rear light guards. The SportVan which already has air-conditioning as standard, gains the silver painted grille, mirror caps and rear light guards.
- All Sapphire SVPs are available in the unique Ink Blue metallic paint.
- The first production batch will be built in Ink Blue paint and thereafter Sapphire SVPs will also be available in Frozen White, Panther Black, Sea Grey. The SportVan model is Ink Blue only, with silver bonnet stripes.
