Security alarms
The Tourneo Connect uses a combination of state-of-the-art security features, so you can feel relaxed wherever you park:

• Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) disables the engine when your key isn’t in the ignition. The engine only primes when you use an ignition key with the unique code recognised by the PATS system
• Optional perimeter alarm with additional volume sensing
• High-security shielded locks with strengthened mountings to prevent lock tampering
• Unique lock-in-latch door lock system eliminates cables and rods between the lock and latch
• Central double locking, key-operated bonnet release and locking fuel cap to thwart potential thieves
• Shielded spare wheel support
• Visible Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
Passenger safety
Designed using advanced computer modelling, the Tourneo Connect’s rigid body structure has superior impact protection to take care of you, your passengers and whatever you transport. Embedded safety features include energy-absorbing crumple zones for maximum protection of passengers, high-strength steel beams inside the front doors to help prevent intrusion in a side impact, while a boron steel cross-member behind the front bumper, absorbs and safely channels crash energy away from all occupants.

Passive safety features fitted as standard:
• Driver and front passenger airbags for protection
• Height-adjustable inertia reel seat belts with grabbers and driver’s seat belt pre-tensioner.
• Anti-submarining ramps in front seat bases to stop you slipping under the seatbelt in the event of an impact
• Height-adjustable head restraints that help avoid the potential for whiplash injury from a rear impact.
Driving safety
To enable you to remain in complete control of any situation on the road, we have designed a combination of features that can help you, whatever the conditions.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
ABS ensures the wheels won’t lock when you brake. This helps prevent skidding and loss of directional control if you have to brake when cornering, or if you need to make an emergency stop.
Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD)
EBD balances the braking force independently across all four wheels. This gives you more stable braking and can result in shorter stopping distances.
Traction Control System (TCS)
TCS works with your engine and transmission to help prevent front wheel spin and, under more extreme conditions, reduces it significantly.
Hill Launch Assist (HLA)
HLA is standard and makes it easier to pull away on a slope as there’s no need to use the handbrake.
