Passenger safety
The safety of your passengers is paramount to your business. We have taken great care to design class-leading passenger safety features. Airbags are fitted for the driver and front passengers (and optional side airbags are also available). All seats are equipped with three-point seat belts which. The second row is also equipped with ISOFIX anchorage points in the centre and off-side positions for fitting a child seat. And all seats have adjustable head restraints to improve passenger comfort over long journeys.
Driving safety
We’ve designed Tourneo to be as easy to operate and drive as possible.
There are four-wheel disc brakes with ABS (anti-lock braking system) and Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), which combine automatically to provide the correct balance of brake-force between front and rear wheels. This helps prevent the rear wheels from locking-up, particularly when driving unladen.
Handling is further enhanced on diesel engine models with standard Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), an industry first. This automatically adjusts power and braking to stop the vehicle deviating from the chosen direction, keeping you on the straight and narrow. Vehicles with ESP also include Hill Launch Assist (HLA) as standard – making it easier to pull away on a slope, so there’s no need to use the handbrake.
Security alarms
You can rest easy, no matter where you park. Your Tourneo comes with a choice of two levels of alarm, which incorporate the latest technology such as an interior scanner and battery back-up to ensure your sound investment remains so.
