Improved component life span

Attention to detail in the design process has increased the life span of components and made them easier to access and repair. These factors increase Tourneo’s durability:

• 8-year corrosion protection: achieved by increasing the number of pre-coated panels in the lower body structure, introducing a PVC coating on the underside of the vehicle and protecting the vehicle side rails with a wax coating
• ‘Smart’ starting system on all TDCi vehicles: monitors the engine speed during cranking and disengages the starter motor as soon as the engine is able to run by itself

Competitive repair costs

Thoughtful design and careful component selection also means that Tourneo offers competitive repair costs:

• Re-designing key areas and components including the bonnet and bumper position as well as the front lights
• Retaining easily repairable sections: three-piece front bumper and five-piece rear bumper

Easy tyre changing

Tourneo includes an easily accessible spare wheel and vehicle jack. After all, the longer you spend changing a wheel the less time you spend doing your job, and earning money.

• Spare wheel is located in a carrier below the vehicle and can be easily lowered using a winch
