The Ka is built from a lighter, but firmer bodyshell to enhance safety in the event of a crash. It also includes Ford’s renowned Intelligent Protection System – a completely integrated approach to safety. It includes driver and passenger airbags and optional side and curtain airbags, three-point safety belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters plus anti-submarining front seats.

On the security side, the Ka is designed to pass the stringent UK “Thatcham” security tests, thanks to a range of features such as high-strength locks, carefully designed shielded locking systems in the doors and an electronic immobiliser system.
