INNOVATIONS IN TECHNOLOGY

Highlights at the show also include the introduction of the all-new fuel-efficient 1.0 litre Ford EcoBoost engine. Seen first in the Ford Focus, this will offer the performance of a conventional 1.6 litre engine with less than 120g/km CO2 emissions. During 2012 it will also be available in the C-MAX and be part of the launch of the all-new Ford B-MAX.
The Ford B-MAX incorporates a new body design which eliminates the traditional B pillar and features twin rear sliding doors which open to 1.5m making it easier to enter and exit the rear seats. The clutter-free, spacious feel is enhanced by the sculpted cabin, full-size panoramic glass roof and 2.35m long cargo space with the ability to fold flat the front passenger seat.
Europe's most fuel-efficient family car will be unveiled as the new Focus with ECOnetic Technology achieving just 3.4 litres/60mpg and delivering 89g/km CO2 emissions. This will be joined by the best-in-class Fiesta with ECOnetic Technology achieving 3.3 litres/60mpg and 87 g/km CO2 emissions. Both feature Auto-Start-Stop, Smart Regenerative Charging and Ford Eco Mode - for more information regarding these and other ECOnetic Technologies click here.
