Halogen Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS)
With the AFS, the headlights swivel to the left or right according to your speed and the angle of the steering wheel. So as you turn the wheel, the lights swivel to illuminate the road as you take the corner. This boosts forward visibility through bends and creates a safer driving environment.
Bi-Xenon headlights
If you do a lot of driving at night, or in poor weather, these headlights are ideal, generating an extremely bright light but consuming less energy and with a longer service life than conventional halogen bulbs. They also light up a longer and wider angle than standard halogen bulbs.
FordKeyFree-System
This is a convenient device that stops you having to search around for your keys. Simply walk up to the door or boot, pull the handle and the system will recognise the presence of the key, even if it’s in a handbag or pocket. Then you can unlock the vehicle and de-activate the alarm. You can, of course, use the remote control buttons to open or lock the car if you’d prefer.
Auto-headlights
The lighting technology in the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet has been designed to make night-time driving easier, safer and more comfortable. The headlights automatically turn on when the sensors detect a reduction in light conditions, which means you won’t need to turn them on at dusk, at night, or when you are going through a tunnel.

Navigation
You can choose between an advanced navigation system with 5" colour screen, or a premium navigation system with a 7" colour touch-screen.
The advanced system features a 5" full-colour display with map and turn-by-turn instructions to your destination as well as the option to play MP3 files directly from your memory card for enhanced sound quality. The system also includes an external AUX jack, SD memory card slot for data exchange and map data, remote audio controls and six speakers.
Sony 6-CD autochanger
If you’re as serious about music as you are about driving, why not select the Sony audio system? This top-of-the-range hi-fi system has a 6-disc in-dash CD autochanger, allowing you to listen to 6 CDs without changing discs. It is also MP3 compatible, so you can plug in your own MP3 player and listen to your personal music collection.
Entertainment and information systems
The DAB Sony entertainment system features a digital DAB radio and speakers, providing improved reception and sound quality, plus high-output speakers that make every note pin sharp. This system provides easy-to-use tuning and access to an extensive range of radio stations and is available with single CD player or the top-of-the-range in-dash 6-disc autochanger. So now you can listen to 6 CDs without changing discs.
Bluetooth® with Voice Control *

MP3 and USB connector
As part of the optional Communications Pack, you can plug in your USB device or MP3 player, and see your favourite tracks appear on the car’s dashboard display unit. To control your entertainment, just operate the toggles on the steering wheel, or you can issue voice commands using Bluetooth®* with Voice Control technology.

Electric Hydraulic Power-Assisted Steering (EHPAS)
Available as standard on the CC-2 and CC-3, EHPAS delivers more responsive handling than ever. This speed-sensitive system ensures that the steering becomes lighter at lower speeds for easier manoeuvrability. At higher speeds there is less power assistance, so you can better ‘feel’ the road - particularly when you are winding through the mountains.
Intelligent Protection System (IPS)
IPS in the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet features innovative sensors that deploy the appropriate safety systems in milliseconds, such as driver’s and passenger’s front airbags and front-side airbags. There’s also an ultra-strong Roll-Over Protection Device (RPD) hidden inside each of the rear head restraints. So, while you enjoy the beautiful scenery, you can relax knowing you’re surrounded by a wealth of safety features ready to activate, instantly.
Active safety features
These features have been specially designed to help you to avoid accidents.
We have equipped the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet with an advanced braking system to provide total reassurance, whatever the conditions. The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) constantly monitors feedback from each wheel and applies a braking pulse should there be any momentary loss of grip.

That’s why Deflation Detection technology is available across the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet range, with sensors that constantly monitor each tyre, and provide an alert on the instrument panel if there’s a loss of pressure.
Airbags and impact technology
The Focus Coupé-Cabriolet sets new standards of safety in open-top cars. Superb body strength and lightweight impact technology complement a steel safety cage that incorporates side impact beams and engine compartment cross beams to give extra rigidity. Meanwhile, inside the car you will find a Roll-Over Protection Device (RPD), driver and front passenger full-size airbags, as well as side airbags. Plus to minimise injury to drivers, the steering column and pedals collapse away on impact.
Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS)
When you fall for something as alluring as the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet, you want to know that it will remain safe and secure. We have incorporated many security features including a Category 1 approved perimeter alarm. All the locks are high-security, anti-burst and are shielded with strengthened mountings. For extra peace of mind, there’s our patented Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) immobiliser. PATS disables the engine if your key isn’t in the ignition or if the sensors haven’t recognised its unique security code – if you are carrying it in your pocket or bag.
