Feel comfortable, relaxed and in control
The first time you drive the Focus, you’ll feel instantly in tune and connected with the car.

The cockpit is ergonomically designed, so all the controls and key functions fall intuitively to hand. For added comfort, on some models, both the driver and front passenger seats are fully adjustable and you can even adjust the night-time lighting.

There are all kinds of ways the Focus makes driving easier, safer and more pleasurable, from the innovative to the simply well-designed.
Tight parking space? Let the Focus steer itself in
Active Park Assist can steer you into parking spaces just 20% longer than the car. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system will locate a big enough space as you pass it. Then it automatically steers you in, while all you have to do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals).

A safer kind of cruise control
Like normal cruise control, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)* lets you select and maintain your driving speed (from 15 mph to 115 mph**).

What makes ACC safer is that whenever it detects a vehicle ahead, it slows your car down to ensure it stays a pre-set distance away. Once the road in front of you is clear again, your car reverts back to your selected speed.

ACC also features Forward Alert*, a monitoring system that warns you if you accidentally get too close to the vehicle in front. Forward Alert recently earned a Euro NCAP Advanced Reward, a prestigious award for automotive safety technology.

*Only available on selected classes of car.
** Where legally permitted. Please note that ACC will not prevent collisions with stationary objects.
Power-assisted steering that uses less power

The Focus has electric power-assisted steering* (EPAS) that automatically adjusts to suit the situation. It makes wheel turns feel lighter and easier, giving you greater manoeuvrability when you’re driving in the city, at low speeds or when parking. It also makes the steering firmer when you need greater control and confidence at higher speeds.

Unlike most systems, which are continuously on, EPAS only activates when needed. This means it uses less energy, further improving fuel economy.

*Not available with 1.6 petrol PowerShift engines.

Never miss another traffic sign
Innovative Traffic Sign Recognition technology identifies traffic signs and then displays them on the instrument panel. It even flashes when you’re over the speed limit, helping you drive legally and safely.

Key-free means hassle-free
The Ford KeyFree System lets you lock and unlock your car, without having to take your key out of your pocket or bag. This saves you hassle when you’ve got your hands full.

Start your car with the touch of a button
Now there’s no need to use your key. Simply push the Ford Power Starter Button while holding the clutch down (or brake pedal on an automatic) and the engine fires into life.

Set one temperature for you, another for your passenger
Your passenger likes it cosy, but you prefer it cooler. The solution? Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC). This option lets you set the temperature with up to 4°C difference between your zone and your front passenger’s.

Adjust the night-time lighting to suit your mood
Ambient lighting* lets you add a subtle and sophisticated red tone to the car interior at night. The light is emitted from the overhead console, cup holders, door release surrounds and foot well area. Add the optional ambient lighting hub** and you can choose from seven different colours and a variety of intensities.

*Available on Titanium series only
**Available on Titanium X only
A centre console that’s handy in so many ways

Crystal-clear Sony DAB audio system
As well as delivering pitch-perfect sound, this optional state-of-the-art digital system displays info about the track playing. Some versions even scroll the latest news headlines. The system also includes Bluetooth® with Voice Control* and a USB connection.

For hands-free safety: Bluetooth® with Voice Control
Control your music, make and take calls and adjust the in-car temperature, just by using your voice. It means you don’t have to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road.

Simply connect your MP3 player
The Focus has a USB port, so you can connect devices without Bluetooth® functionality. This means you can play MP3 music files on a memory stick, iPod or other MP3 player, through the vehicle’s audio system.

Wipers that automatically adjust to the rain
Rain-sensing wipers spring into action when they detect moisture on your windscreen, then adjust their speed to deal with whatever the weather throws at you. You can even choose from six sensitivity levels, which determine how much moisture can build up before the wipers activate.

Quickclear heated windscreen puts an end to scraping
Just press a button and invisible heating elements quickly clear the ice or snow, so you don’t have to.

Self-protecting electric wing mirrors
To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable mirrors automatically fold inwards when you’re parked. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.

Ford Easy-Fuel, for foolproof filling-up
This makes it almost impossible to put the wrong fuel in your car, because the wrong nozzle simply won’t fit. And as Ford Easy-Fuel is a capless system, you’ll never have to handle a dirty fuel cap again.
