Like normal cruise control, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)* lets you select and maintain your driving speed (from 15 mph to 115 mph**).
What makes ACC safer is that whenever it detects a vehicle ahead, it slows your car down to ensure it stays a pre-set distance away. Once the road in front of you is clear again, your car reverts back to your selected speed.
ACC also features Forward Alert*, a monitoring system that warns you if you accidentally get too close to the vehicle in front. Forward Alert recently earned a Euro NCAP Advanced Reward, a prestigious award for automotive safety technology.
*Only available on selected classes of car.
** Where legally permitted. Please note that ACC will not prevent collisions with stationary objects.
