Ford and BP have a long-standing cooperation which aims to develop technology and other solutions to benefit both our 'car' and 'energy' consumers. 

 

We share many common values and are working together closely to address the social and environmental challenges of personal mobility. That's why Ford recommends BP on the fuel filler caps of our new cars.

 

A great example of close cooperation is the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of performance and sharing expertise to pioneer the use of future technologies.

 

We are also working to develop innovative engine manufacturing lubricants, based on renewable vegetable oils. These new oils deliver higher performance than conventional ones, resulting in less consumption and reduced waste in the manufacturing process.

 

Another clear demonstration of the cooperation can be seen in the Ford ECOnetic models –Fiesta, Focus, Fiesta Van and Transit. This highly efficient range of vehicles are engineered with specially formulated, low viscosity BP Castrol lubricants, which further improve mpg and reduce CO₂ emissions. This innovation helps to underline BP's position as an industry leader in sustainable products and advanced technology.
